Guest Announcement Nick Palma

Nick Palma was born in Palo Alto, California. He was inspired by Kirk Douglas in “Ulysses” and “The Vikings” staged “Viking” and “Gladiator” bouts in his backyard with his older brother. He was fortunate that some of his mischief, i.e. hopping fences and skipping up and down rooftops, dodging cars and playing in construction sites, did not lead him down the wrong path. His love for physical fitness was his salvation. At thirteen, he was inspired by Bruce Lee’s film, “Enter the Dragon”, and immediately took up the martial arts.
He joined a Choy Li Fut kung fu school. Choy Li Fut emphasizes horse stances and low swift kicks in combination with hand techniques. He also pursued western boxing and grappling skills, which he found to be effective against taller stronger bullies at school. He wanted to become a versatile fighter who could handle himself in different types of conflicts. Eventually, his thirst resulted in two Golden Glove boxing awards and led to other studies including Wing Chun Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Wrestling. Gymnastics, Fencing, and Tai Chi (Yang style).
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (Human Movement Studies) from San Francisco State University and an Army officer’s commission (2nd Lt.) from the University of San Francisco ROTC program. While in the Army, he earned numerous citations, including two “Iron Mike” awards, and was voted third in his battalion at a leadership camp at Fort Lewis, Washington. As a member of the Second Infantry Division in Korea, he won the 119lb. weight division in boxing at the “Indian Head Olympics” and received his 1st degree black belt at the world Tae Kwon Do center (Kuk Ki Won) in Seoul.
After college and the Army, he moved to southern California and began a career in the movies and martial arts. His movie credits include being the “Action Turtle” (the performer in the suite) for Michaelangelo, in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooz”. He did stunts for “The Last Action Hero,” “Stargate,” “Newsies,” and “The Run Down,” in which he, and five other stunt men for the movie, where nominated for a Taurus Stunt Award for best fight sequence in 2004. He also recently worked on the movie “John Carter.”

Guest Announcement Gigi Edgley

Gigi Edgley is an internationally renowned actress originally from Australia. Edgley has starred in countless film and television series including FX’s Feud, USA’s The Starter Wife, Farscape, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge, Diminuendo, Rescue Special Ops, Tricky Business, SyFy’s Showdown at Area 51, Quantum Apocalypse, Carlotta, Newcastle, Black Jack, Peacekeeper Wars, Stingers, Secret Life Of Us, Beastmaster, Lost World, Water Rats, Day of The Roses, Star Trek Continues and Nexus.

Edgley has an extensive history with The Jim Henson Company beginning with her popular role as Chiana on the company’s critically acclaimed sci fi cult series, Farscape in which she starred for over five years.

Gigi stole the hearts of sci-fi enthusiasts. She was originally cast as a guest star for one episode, but quickly captured the attention of the Farscape writers, producers and the fans alike. The mischievous Chiana became one of the most popular, and at times controversial characters in the series. The SyFy Channel and The Jim Henson Company also asked her to host Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge.

Edgley’s team additionally raised over $44,000 on Kickstarter to fund a sci-fi short called Hashtag. The film has had fantastic recognition from the festival circuit and Dust streaming has picked it up. They are currently developing it into a full length feature.

Gigi was nominated for the Film’s Critics Circle awards for best lead actress in the feature Last Train To Freo, the SyFy Genre Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a television series and Maxim Award for Sexiest Space Babe. She was also selected for the Women of Sci-Fi book by Dennys Illic.

Gigi has a long list of theatre credits as well that include: Kill Everything You Love, 4.48 Psychosis,The Rover, Boy’s Life, Romeo And Juliet, Road, Picnic At Hanging Rock and Les Miserables.

Edgley has performed concerts all around the world including singing for Stan Lee at his 95th Birthday, LA Comic Con’s Official Opening Party, Whisky A Go Go, Rockwood Music Hall and the San Diego Comic Con Official Kick Off Party amongst other sensational events.

Edgley is additionally a recording artist, creator of original comic books, director and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Queensland University of Technology after entering in the auditions alongside hundreds of other candidates. 

Guest Announcement Eric Bauza

Eric Bauza is a Canadian voice actor, animation artist and stand-up comedian. His major roles include Lord Stingray in Superjail!, Flip Champion in Ballmastrz: 9009, White Pantera on Nickelodeon’s El Tigre, Storm Shadow, Destro and Tunnel Rat on G.I. Joe: Resolute, Razoff from Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, the Professor and the Pipo Monkeys in Ape Escape and Lord Takagami in Dick Figures: The Movie. He is the current voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Pepé Le Pew and Woody Woodpecker.

Bauza started his career in animation as a character designer, working with a few production studios in Hollywood. It was this introduction to the animation world that eventually led him to a successful career in voice-overs.

Bauza has since starred in El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, The Fairly OddParents, Ren & Stimpy “Adult Party Cartoon”, Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island, G.I. Joe: Resolute and Hero: 108. He has also played multiple roles on “The King and Us”, a web-series sponsored by Burger King, and was seen on the NFL during Fox’s pre-game show.

Bauza is the voice of Lord Stingray on the Adult Swim series Superjail!, Marvin the Martian on The Looney Tunes Show and Dr. Psychobos on Ben 10: Omniverse. He also appeared in episodes of the animated web series Dick Figures, where he voiced the Genie of the Teapot, the Vulgar Mall Santa, and the Ninjas. He has also been the voice of Lord Takagami, the main antagonist of Dick Figures: The Movie (the first feature-length animated production by Mondo Media and Six Point Harness and one of the most popular animated projects being funded through Kickstarter). He recently played Buhdeuce in Breadwinners and the title character in Netflix’s The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
