Sandra Lee Gimpel  is an American stuntwoman, actress, and second unit director with a career spanning over six decades. She began as a dancer, performing in fifteen Elvis Presley films, before transitioning into stunt work. Gimpel is renowned for her roles in Star Trek: The Original Series, notably portraying a Talosian in “The Cage” and the M-113 creature in “The Man Trap” . Her extensive stunt career includes work on films like Airplane!, The Goonies, Escape from New York, The Rock, and Bruce Almighty . Beyond performing, she has served as a stunt coordinator and second unit director on various projects. In 2023, she published her memoir, Stuntlady: Falling for the Stars, detailing her experiences in the entertainment industry
