Heavy Metal Hall of Fame member Vinny Appice has anchored the rhythm section for some of Rock N Roll’s most Illustrious bands. Vinny was the drummer for “Black Sabbath” during most of the Ronnie James Dio years. Vinny was also a founding member of “DIO”. He recorded and wrote on many Dio albums from 1983-1998. Numerous books have been written about Black Sabbath and Dio with the authors always mentioning Vinny’s unique powerful drumming style.
Vinny has also performed and recorded with “John Lennon”, “Rick Derringer”, “Heaven and Hell” and many others. Vinny’s drumming can also be heard on numerous movie soundtracks including “Wayne’s World 2”, “Heavy Metal”, “Iron Eagle”, “Bedazzled” and Thor: Love and Thunder.
Vinny’s unique style of drumming has influenced many artists over the last few decades. He is never one to just rest on his laurels. Vinny is constantly putting out new music. He is currently recording and touring with “Last in Line”.
This band is comprised of the original “Dio” band members. He recently collaborated on the first studio album with his brother Carmine Appice. It is called Sinister and features many guest artists from the world of Hard Rock.
In addition to being in the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame, Vinny Appice is a recipient of the Heavy Rock ICON award, Vegas Rocks Magazine award and is an inductee in the Hall of Heavy Metal History, just to name a few.
Vinny currently endorses Sawtooth drums, Evans drumheads, Istanbul Mehmet cymbals, and Chromacast drumsticks.
